Navitas Professional Brisbane were delighted to host their first annual Industry Recognition Event at Little Tokyo Two on 7 June 2016.

Over the past 12 months, Navitas Professional Brisbane has experienced significant success and growth, almost doubling their operations.

The Industry Recognition Event provided an opportunity to formally thank our industry partners for the high quality internships that industry partners provide and help enable the team to celebrate their successes and move into the future.

During the event, Navitas Professional staff presented a warm thank you to industry partners and introduced the launch of our short course programs and Study to Work program. Highlighting additional partnership opportunities that these will provide to partners.

Industry partner, Mark Steiner, Managing Director from HeTech presented a heart-warming speech about his experience and support towards hosting Navitas Professional interns. Since 2011 HeTech have and continues to support international student interns. Successfully hosting five electronic engineering graduates and a public relations graduate. Mr Steiner spoke of the value of giving back to industry and the value in actively supporting the development of Australia’s future professional leaders.

Jay Jun, an alumni member, had in turn presented an inspiring speech about his Professional Year journey. He spoke with raw emotion and gratitude towards the Navitas Professional team and his host company ABB who have helped him transition from a shy and inexperienced graduate to an IT BA professional, now working at ABB his former host company. Jay thanked the industry partners for the opportunities they provide and the positive impact this has on a graduate’s professional development.

Samantha Way, ACS Industry Partner representative, also spoke on behalf of the industry bodies, expressing gratitude towards Navitas Professional and industry partners helping to bridge the skills gap.
