2016 CISA Conference: Launching IEAA’s video: Top tips to expand your job prospects
Congratulations to the Council of International Students Association (CISA) for hosting another great conference this year.
We consider it a privilege to continue to advocate on behalf of the international student community and their valuable contributions to the Australian workforce by sponsoring events such as the 2015 Employability Forum and this years’ 2016 CISA National Conference.
Navitas Professional’s representative, Business Development Consultant, Anna McLeod, was honoured to be invited as part of an employability experts panel to share her experience and expertise in graduate employability.
The employability experts panel comprised of the private sector, Not-for-Profit, State and Federal Government as well as student representatives, who shared their insights on what employers look for in graduate employees, using International Education Association of Australia’s (IEAA) helpful video - International Students: A Guide for Australian Employers to illustrate their points. Anna then had the honour to launch IEAA’s sequel video - International Student Employability: Top Tips to Expand Your Job Prospects.
Top Tips to Expand Your Job Prospects presents honest advice from former international and Navitas Professional students on techniques they successfully employed to improve their job prospects. This fantastic project was coordinated by the IEAA, sponsored by ETS TOEFL and supported by Navitas. It is a must-watch for international students, recent graduates, and those working in international education.
Anna said "We are especially proud of the Navitas graduates who participated in the development of this video. This is a great resource for the international student community and complements the IEAA Student Employability Guide launched last year."
