Navitas Professional’s Hobart campus recognised for work with International Students

Navitas Professional has been announced as a finalist in the Study Tasmania’s 2019 Shine Awards, in the Industry Partner of the Year category. Each year, Study Tasmania recognises the contribution of international students, staff, homestay family hosts and industry partners to the international education sector.

Kathryn Randall of Navitas Professional Hobart says the team is delighted with the nomination.Study Tasmania works with education and industry partners like Navitas Professional to provide international students in Tasmania with a range of support services as part of the region’s growth strategy to attract international students to Tasmania. Navitas Professional has been working closely with Study Tasmania to offer regular employability workshops for international students. The program offers tailored support to students looking to refine their resumes and rework cover letters and selection criteria for job applications – with a view to enhance their  employability outcomes. The program helps build capacity and resilience in these graduates as they prepare for the world of work.

This year’s Awards winners will be announced at the ceremony on 16 September.

International education continues to be a significant contributor to the region’s social and economic opportunities. The sector added $376 million to the Tasmanian economy in 2017, while promoting global linkages and enhancing cultural and linguistic diversity.
